The Flower Deity Zi Fen passes away after giving birth to Jin Mi, her daughter. Before she passed away, Zi Fen gave her daughter a “Unfeeling Pill” to keep her from experiencing romantic feelings since she knew Jin Mi would face a terrible love trial. The Flower Realm’s rulers were also given a directive by Zi Fen to keep Jin Mi’s identity a secret and to keep her imprisoned in a water barrier.

After a few thousand years, Jin Mi has developed into an innocent, naive sprite that yearns to travel outside the Flower Realm. After being attacked during his phoenix flight, Xu Feng, the Fire Deity and second son of the Heavenly Emperor, unintentionally lands in the Flower Realm.
